The outstanding choreography of Yuri Grigorovich focuses mainly on the emotions and the passion of the star-crossed lovers, rather than the surrounding circumstances. Everything is expressed by dances.
This classic ballet also provides the perfect showcase for Grigorovich's wife, the magnificent Natalya Bessmertnova. As one of Russia's legendary soloists, the prima ballerina is - in spite of her age - an enchanting Juliet. Aleksandr Vetrov must also be mentioned for a masterful performance as Tybalt.
