Between the years 1954 and 1956, master tenor Jon Vickers displayed talent that went beyond the call in more than a few performances that were captured and televised by Radio Canada. This program features the best of those telecasts and includes Vickers along with Eva Likova, Robert Savoie, Louis Quilico, and Pierre Boutet in a series of phenomenal operatic masterworks. Backed by the Orchestre symphonique de Radio-Canada and staged by the legendary Irving Guttman, PAGLIACCI, MANON LESCAUT, TOSCA, and IL TRAVATORE are all performed in part and led by the unmistakable voice of Jon Vickers.
