Some of the opera world's greatest artists are featured in extracts from works by Offenbach, Puccini, Strauss and Verdi, performed at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
The extracts include: Olympia's aria and Barcarolle from Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann, featuring Luciana Serra, Robert Tear, Claire Powell, Agnes Baltsa; Quando m'en vo' from Puccini's La Boheme, with Marilyn Zschau as Musetta; the trio Hab' mir's gelobt from Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier, with Kiri Te Kanawa, Anne Howells and Barbara Bonney; arias from Verdi's Don Carlo, with Luis Lima, Giorgio Zancanaro and Robert Lloyd; extracts from Verdi's Falstaff, with Barbara Hendricks, Dalmacio Gonzalez, Renato Bruson and Katia Ricciarelli; arias from Puccini's Manon Lescaut, with Placido Domingo and Kiri Te Kanawa. |
