Progenitors of the Smooth Jazz genre, Shakatak have managed to update their sound over the years, maintaining a fresh sound and vibe that continue to define contemporary jazz. With their second Instinct Jazz release, Shakatak has created an album that puts forth a sound that is updated with the grooves that have attracted consumers to Boney James, Incognito and Gota while maintaining the urban vocal and melodic structure that is their signature.
