| Recorded back in 1972 with musicians such as Rod Argent, Eric Stewart and Kev Godley and produced by Wally Waller of the Pretty Things, A Major Fancy got shelved during contractual negotiations for Barclay James Harvest's move from Harvest to Polydor. It was eventually released on the Harvest Heritage label in 1977, but didn't appear on CD until Eagle Records repackaged it in 1999. The CD includes three extra songs from 1974 - both sides of the rare "Best Of My Love"/"You Can't Get It" single, plus the previously unreleased "Please Be With Me". Exclusively available from us as a special limited edition of only 500 with the CD, an alternative inlay with the original LP artwork and sleeve notes, a numbered certificate and a leather kestrel's head keyring, all contained in a white box personally autographed by John Lees. |
