| Over 30 years his premature death in London, at the age of 27, Jimi Hendrix has become one of the greatest and most enduring icons in the world of popular music. During his all-too-brief recording career, Hendix released just four albums, all of which have since become recognised as important milestone in the history of rock music. However, the release of his 1968 double-album, Electric Ladyland, represented a watershed in his flourishing career, and is now recognised as a landmark in rock music. The story of Electric Ladyland is told here in words, music, rare archive film footage and from a contemporary diary kept by one of Hendrix's employees. Among those contributing are Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell who worked with Jimi Hendrix in the Jimi Hendrix Experience, legendary singer and key board virtuoso Steve Winwood, Eddie Kramer who engineered the Electric Ladyland studio sessions and, in his last interview, Chas Chandler who was responsible for nurturing Hendrix's early success and who managed his career.
