This set collects together the Sonny Rollins albums Newks Time, Volume 1 and Volume 2. Rollins, along with John Coltrane, defined the tenor saxophone in modern jazz. His unending flow of ideas and invention is evident on these Blue Note albums that captured him at his peak with Donald Byrd, Horace Silver, and Thelonious Monk, among others.
