Manhattan Panorama by George Coleman is another 5 star release, highly regarded by jazz critics. Coleman recorded this date at the Village Vanguard. "With the excellent backing of star players in this fine quartet, Coleman shows his billowing, voluptuous tone and endless flow of free-form musical ideas, with sensitivity and intelligence second to none." In addition to being one of America's giants on the tenor saxophone, Coleman is also remembered for his performances as a member of the Miles Davis quintet.
