Subtitled "Trumpet, Vocal & Hits," this features two dozen of Prima's big-band sides recorded for the tiny Varsity, Hit, and Majestic labels in the 1940s. Many of Prima's Italian novelties are here, including "Felicia No Capicia," "Josephina, Please No Leana on the Bell," "Baciagaloop (Makes Love on the Stoop)," "Oh! Marie," "Angelina," and "Please No Squeeza Da Banana." But the set also includes such Prima mainstays as "Just a Gigolo," "Robin Hood," and "A Sunday Kind of Love." Few early Prima collections give you a taste of the man's real talents, but this one does.
