Following the success of their two previous releases ("The Willing Sinner - Live In Berlin" & "A Lover Spurned - Live At The Astoria, London"), Cherry Red Records are now issuing a third DVD featuring one of British pop's great performers, Marc Almond. "Marc Almond, Live At The Union Chapel" provides a unique opportunity for fans to witness Marc's full show at London's stunning Union Chapel in December 2000.
With the chapel providing an eye-catching visual backdrop, Marc takes the opportunity to showcase a number of rarely performed tracks from his repertoire. Marc delivers covers of Scott Walker's "Jacky" (Marc's version was a top twenty hit) , Lou Reed's "Caroline Says I", and Jaques Brel's "The Devil (Okay)", along with many of his own tracks. As always, Marc delivers a thoroughly entertaining performance, making this DVD a must for all fans.
Former Soft Cell singer Marc Almond gives it all that he's got at this performance from the London Union Chapel in 2000. The DVD was released by Cherry Red Records, an independent label established in 1978 that prides itself on releasing obscure material from all forms of U.K. punk and rockabilly acts from the '70s onward.
