Recorded: April 1989, The Harmony Hall, Matsumoto, Japan
The second recording by dynamic Bulgarian pianist Milcho on the MA label. For him the blues is authentic ethnic music and he treats this musical artform with utmost reverence through his compositions and improvisations, many of which are based on Balkan rhythms and melodies. From the light hearted tribute to Count Basie, "King Bassie" to the improvisational finale of "Matsumoto," dedicated to the city where this recording was made, Milcho excites with his ever creative approach the piano and music in general. Recorded at the Harmony Hall in Matsumoto, Japan.
