The Blues & Beyond reveals Robben's advanced concepts for improvising and comping. Performing his well-known renditions of several blues classics, Robben demonstrates how he plays over chord changes. Robben also discusses phrasing and playing "outside" using pentatonic, diminished, and melodic minor scales.
