'The Nina Simone Story' is a three disc career-spanning collection of studio & live recordings made in her heyday years between 1959 & 1985 & includes songs from all these musical genres. Included are all the studio recordings she made for the Bethlehem label in 1959 which launched her extraordinary career & gave her two of her biggest hits, 'My Baby Just Cares For Me' & 'I Loves You Porgy'. The set closes with some of her last studio recordings. Each disc comes in an individual paper sleeve & they're housed together in a flip-top box. Charly. 2003. |
