Previously available only as part of the 3 disc boxed set, this solo recording allows fans to hear the subtle artistry of this most unique musician. Recorded New Years Eve, 1998 in Orvieto, Italy - below the Alps, where they call him maestro and revere his solos.
About the Artist
As a kid, when he emerged from his basement, Galliano admired the seascape horizons that drew him southward. His music is decidedly Mediterranean. Turkey, Africa, Andalusia... his affiliations even cross the Atlantic to meet the Cajun accordionists who bandage their forearms before playing for hours and still wind up with bloody wrists. "If you dig down into a waltz, you always find an inclination towards Africa," Galliano has a habit of saying. |
