Concert For Diana was held on Sunday July 1st 2007 at the new Wembley Stadium in London, in front of 62,000 people and a worldwide television audience.
For six hours one summer evening the world joined Prince William and Prince Harry in remembering their mother's remarkable life. It was an unforgettable occasion characterised above all by a sense of celebration - a celebration of what it means to have a love of music, a zest for life and a desire to reach out to others.
Sir Elton John was on hand to help Diana's sons, Princes William and Harry, mark the 10th anniversary of their mother's death with an event to celebrate her life. The concert was held at the new London Wembley Stadium on July 1, 2007, which would have been Diana's 46th birthday. The capacity 63,000 crowd were treated to performances by Elton John, Duran Duran, James Morrison, Lily Allen, Fergie, The Feeling, Pharrell Williams, Nelly Furtado, English National Ballet, Status Quo, Joss Stone, Roger Hodgson, Orson, Tom Jones, Joe Perry, Will Young, Natasha Bedingfield, Bryan Ferry, Rod Stewart, Kanye West, P Diddy, Take That, Ricky Gervais, Anastacia, Connie Fisher, Andrea Ross, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Donny Osmond, Jason Donovan, and Lee Mead. Also included in this 2 DVD set is a 30 minute behind the scenes documentary.
