One year after the release of their prodigal album, Masses, Spring Heel Jack went back to the studios - this time with the all-stars of British jazz, including such luminaries as Evan Parker, Kenny Wheeler, Han Bennink, and Paul Rutherford. Joining in with this cast of heavy-hitters is the frontman from the Brit supergroup Spiritualized, Jason Pierce and the sole American on this date, Matthew Shipp playing Fender Rhodes.
