Keiko Matsui - piano Tomohito Aoki - bass Akira Jimbo - drums & percussion Shinobu Ishizaki - soprano sax Masamichi Nanji - soprano sax
Never one to follow the fads, pianist Keiko Matsui has set herself apart during her nearly 20 year recording career with distinctly original and finely-crafted compositions. WILDFLOWER, Matsui’s latest album of all new music, features her signature evocative piano lines draped over a gentle groove.
Matsui's activities around WILDFLOWER will benefit the United Nations World Food Programme's efforts in Africa. She will raise media and audience awareness of this plight during her extensive 2004 U.S. tour. "I have been to Africa and seen how much suffering there is because of war, AIDs, and drought. I want to share with my audiences the tremendous humanitarian needs in Africa and what WFP is doing to make people's live better", said Matsui. |
