Steve Lukather, the famed guitarist for Toto, is making merry this holiday season with the new album called Santamental. The album features a number of legendary musicians including Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Edgar Winter, Larry Carlton, and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. In addition, drummer Stan Lynch of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers fame wrote a song called "Broken Heart For Christmas" for the album.
Says Luke "All the solos are live, there's some humor on it, I sampled Sammy Davis Junior and [we're] singing Jingle Bells together which is hysterical…big band style. I am really proud of it, it's not your typical Christmas record, this is really all [messed] up, it's all freaked out. |
