This EP was recorded during the same session that resulted in the self titled album that was released earlier this year. These tracks didn't fit the album and it was immediately decided to make this into an EP that would be released after the album.
The EP contains 3 tracks and 30 minutes with music. It starts of with a cover version by Groove Armada's (!) "I see you baby" with Joe McPhee on vocals which is worth the price alone! The EP also features a new version of Joe McPhee`s seminal Black Panther anthem "Nation Time" from 1970 as well as Donald Ayler`s beautiful epic "Our Prayer". |
