Drummer Kiermyer's original source of inspiration as a teenager was the late Coltrane groups, featuring Pharaoh Sanders circa 1965-1966. So inspired by this Cosmic Music, Kiermyer waited until he was in his late thirties ("until he was ready") to record this intense, devotional music using Coltrane's fellow tenor- mate, Pharoah Sanders. Rarely in jazz today do we see recordings of this power.
