Jazz
This rockin' British sextet got together in October 2004 when ex-Alabama Slammers Neale Hobday (double bass, vocals) and Claire Hamlin (piano) met up with Gary Richardson (drums) from The Jive Cats and recruited James Gray (lead vocals, harmonica, baritone sax) and Big Scott Brooker (alto sax, vocals) for a debut performance at the Chelmsford Southern Jivers Club. The following year they were joined by Andy Burns (tenor sax, vocals), completing the line-up that went on to record Jive Time-- an album of bootin' rock 'n' roll, jump blues and a couple of tributes to the memorable combination of Louis Prima with Sam Butera. |
