UK baritone sax player Ronnie Ross and drummer Allan Ganley created the finest of modern jazz in the early '60s. Each achieved great success on his own and together they created some real gems on "The Jazz Makers" (1960). They are joined by an album from pianist Joe Castro, whose 1959 "Groove Funk Soul" features the playing of saxman Teddy Edwards and bassist Leroy Vinnegar.
