Bix Beiderbecke is really one of those rare figures in history of jazz who just seems to come out of nowhere, a man who has his own ideas and changed something forever. He is a real revolutionary in jazz. In his time musicians loved him, but the public didn't really understand what he was doing. Now we know that this music is for all time. Bix Beiderbecke has been the pre-eminent legend of jazz ever since his untimely death in 1931 at the age of 28.
