One of Sonny Rollins' lesser sets of the 1970s, this CD reissue matches his tenor (which often sounds as dirty as an R&B stylist) with the dated electric keyboards of Patrice Rushen, guitarist Lee Ritenour, either Alex Blake or Charles Meeks on bass, drummer Billy Cobham and percussionist Bill Summers. There are some moments of interest (mostly due to Rollins' sound and his melodic playing) but none of the seven "contemporary" songs managed to catch on.
