"This is my trio with two musicians that seem like forces, elements of Nature. I find in them my support, complement, and source of many ideas. Masa Kamaguchi, now living in Barcelona after 14 years in the New York scene backing Paul Motian or David Murray among others, is like the FIRE, pure mistic virtuoso of the bass. RJ Miller, one of the youngest and most solid, mature and tasteful drummers in the Big Apple playing in the Bill McHenry, Rob Stillman and Ben Street bands, is like the EARTH. The piano is like the WATER, like a drop, or like a river that flows along the course of the elements. Our music comes from the freedom of melody and rhythm into the open space of AIR."
