This 1971 session was Lee Morgan's last. The four members of his quintet, Billy Harper, Harold Mabern, Jymie Merritt and Freddie Waits all contribute originals. Morgan added Grachan Moncur, Bobbi Humphrey and Reggie Workman and allowed the musicians to stretch out as each piece built in texture and intensity. |
