This DVD presents David Clayton-Thomas in a veritable tour-de-force performance captured in June, 2006 at Le Festival International de Jazz de Montreal.
From the Blood Sweat & Tears hit "And When I Die", through gripping renditions of Billie Holiday's "Don't Explain", and Jon Hendrick's be-bop classic "Gimme That Wine", David and his powerhouse eleven-piece orchestra deliver an exhilarating two hour musical odyssey, pouring out classics like "You've Made Me So Very Happy", "Spinning Wheel" and "Go Down Gamblin" with the heartfelt vigor that’s made him one of music's most respected vocalists.
Features guests the renowned Montreal Jubilation Choir, belting out an electrifying "Hi De Ho", and "Drown In My Own Tears". Extras include a DCT interview produced especially for this package.
Former Blood, Sweat & Tears front-man David Clayton-Thomas goes solo for this powerhouse performance captured live at Le Spectrum during the 2006 Montreal Jazz Festival. Backed by an eleven-piece orchestra that truly brings the music to life for an enthusiastic audience, Clayton-Thomas and the band belt out such classics as "Spinning Wheel" and "You've Made Me So Very Happy" with all of the power and passion that took those tunes to the top of the charts. --- Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
