Clay Giberson - piano
Clay Giberson's latest recording is a soothing, plaintive exploration of ten of Giberson's original compositions. After CDs that featured his acoustic jazz trio ("Mirador") and his more electric, modern second recording ("Upper Road"), Clay goes it alone this time with only his grand piano and tunes that reflect his more intimate and personal compositional leanings. Reminiscent of the earlier solo recordings by Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea, Giberson adds a very important voice to the solo piano repertoire and in the process, provides a subtly beautiful soundtrack for our times
