Traveling the world over and recording performances given in intimate American clubs, outdoor festivals, and concert halls throughout Europe, this series seeks out today's leading jazz musicians. Met by stadiums filled with adoring fans, the energetic performers here give it all they've got, proving why they are they are considered some of jazz's most promising artists. Several of the musicians featured in earlier installments of JAZZ LEGENDS LIVE! reappear here, including Lee Ritenour (performing "Dolphin Dreams," and "The Island"), Chuck Mangione (performing "Feel So Good") and Dave Grusin (performing "The Island"). Other performers include Sam Moore, Booker T & The MGs, and Sidran, Woods & Steve Miller.
Jon Hendricks, Ron Carter, and Arnett Cobb are among the half-dozen artists appearing in the twelfth installment of Jazz Legends: Live!. Each entry in the series from Quantum Leap is a compilation of concert clips by some of the top names in modern jazz music.
