REO Speedwagon can fill a major stadium nearly as fast as Madonna! Though they have sold over 40 million albums and consistently produced Top 40 singles, the band is most famous for their compelling, rip-roaring live act! LIVE PLUS3, filmed at a huge concert in the Spring of 2000, celebrates 30 years of the band's existence. REO Speedwagon celebrated their (amazing) third decade together by recording a live album called Live Plus in 2001. The weak 13-track CD also has a DVD companion which captures the songs live in concert during the spring of 2000. The DVD and CD would be recommended for die-hard fans only, except the weak vocals on the songs makes for a difficult time. Suggested REO Speedwagon listening should, instead, include 1974's Ridin' the Storm Out, 1980's Hi Infidelity, and especially 1988's Hits. After three decades, REO Speedwagon is just not up to the task of coming close to their arena rock heights. Have a real nostalgic experience: dim the lights, crank up the old vinyl, and get your lighter ready! If you have to have the experience of "being there," then this DVD is worth checking out. Otherwise pass.
