Bill Evans's final recording for Fantasy is considered to be one of his best. The Grammy-winning effort is a glorious sampler of several composers who inevitably inspired the pianist, including Michel Legrand, Johnny Mandel, Earl Zindars, and Steve Swallow, in a program where variety is achieved while peak inspiration is sustained.
