It explains both the overwhelming demand for their services in so many diverse settings, and why jazz fans continually bestowed honors upon them when the time came to vote for preferred instrumentalists each year. Contemporary Records gave the three giants a perfect forum for relaxed-yet-intense blowing in their five "Poll Winners" sessions, of which this is the third. The attractive program includes a couple of jazz standards, several choice pop songs, and an original by each of the participants.
