Throughout the 1950's, Tal Farlow dominated modern jazz guitar. Self-taught, Farlow quickly became revered for his adventurous sense of harmony and a breathtaking virtuosic technique which earned him the nickname 'The Octopus' due to his large hands and long fingers. This two-CD set comprises Farlow in Los Angeles fronting some of that city's finest. By way of a bonus, we've included six wondrous tracks featuring the Red Norvo Trio at its creative peak.
