All tracks have been digitally remastered. Released in 2002, this 13-track Paquito D'Rivera collection draws from the Cuban-born reedman's 1980s stint for the Columbia label. Along with a few jazz standards (a boisterous version of "On Green Dolphin Street," a vibrant take on "Manteca"), the disc offers up a number of Latin-tinged originals, including the funky "Monk-Tuno" and the gentle "Song to My Son," which showcase D'Rivera's full-bodied playing on both clarinet and saxophone.
