SO MUCH THINGS TO SAY is a collection of songs and interviews compiled in celebration of Bob Marley's 50th birthday. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personnel: Bob Marley; Neville Willoughby (spoken vocals); The Wailers. Producers: The Crew, Rita Marley, E. Brown, S. Golding. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This half-hour 1973 interview, interspersed with snippets of Marley hits, some of them in live versions, is a useful background to the man's music and, if not exactly a penetrating look at his inner being, is at least a glimpse of an affable superstar-to-be. Repeated listenings are probably necessary to decipher some of what Marley is saying, (some of which is less than politically correct, particularly his views on the then-current Ethiopian famine) let alone the meaning behind his words, but hardcore fans probably won't object. |
