2-in-1 DVD featuring 'The Seekers Down Under' (filmed in 1967) and 'The Seekers At Home' (filmed in 1966).
'Down Under' was filmed entirely on location and takes Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley on a sightseeing tour of Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Surfers Paradise and South Australia's Borossa Valley.
Features 15 of the group's most popular songs, including 'Turn Turn Turn', 'Red Rubber Ball', 'The Water Is Wide', 'Someday, One Day', 'Myra' and 'The Times They Are A Changin' .

'At Home' was the group's very first TV special. Filmed in black and white, the vintage footage features 16 classic songs filmed at the height of their fame and popularity.

In the 1960s, Australia's fabulous Seekers made four immensely popular television specials. Here at last, on DVD, are the first two.
We start with THE SEEKERS DOWN UNDER, the one-hour spectacular that turned Australian television on it's ear. It was filmed entirely on location and takes Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley on a sightseeing tour of Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Surfers Paradise and South Australia's Borossa Valley. In the days of black and white television in Australia, THE SEEKERS DOWN UNDER was shot in colour for overseas sale, and features 15 of the group's most popular songs, as well as the first recorded version of Judith Durham's solo hit, The Olive Tree. It also features a guest appearance by Australia's Prime Minister of the day, the late Harold Holt.
THE SEEKERS DOWN UNDER ends with The Seekers legendary appearance at Melbourne's Myer Music Bowl during the city's annual Moomba festival in 1967, with live performances of their worldwide hits. The record crowd of 200,000 fans made the Guinness Book of Records. When first screened in Australia by Channel 7 in 1967, THE SEEKERS DOWN UNDER attracted a record rating figure of 67, a figure that remains unbeaten to this day.
The group's very first TV special THE SEEKERS AT HOME was filmed in 1966 during their first trip home after they put Australia on the international map with three Number One hits in England and around the world. Filmed in black and white, THE SEEKERS AT HOME was mainly shot in Melbourne's now demolished Fitzroy Teletheatre and features 16 songs. Studio footage is interspersed with Judith, Athol, Keith and Bruce singing Morningtown Ride on Victoria's historic steam train, Puffing Billy, in the Dandenong Ranges, and Someday, One Day on the beach at Black Rock. The vintage footage includes the group performing Open Up Them Perly Gates, Just A Closer Walk With Thee and Judith's solo, The Eriskay Love Lilt, along with some of their early material such as Sinner Man, and the only existing recording of 'the boys' performing I Was Born About 10,000 Years Ago.
This new collector's edition 'two-in-one' DVD release brings you The Seekers at the height of their fame and popularity, and preserves forever this monumental musical legacy.
