Having emerged from the gynocentric, late-1980s neo-folk revival that included Tracy Chapman, Suzanne Vega, and the Indigo Girls, singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin crafts her own brand of tender folk-rock marked by confessional lyrics and delicate melodies.
