The Game is a Compton California former drug-dealing gang member. In October 2001, The Game was shot five times. From that time, he has been concentrating on nothing but hip hop in order to make his way out of that environment.
The story sounds familiar - in the late 1980's a crew of Compton, California hardcore rappers broke onto the worldwide scene with the release of "Straight Outta Compton". The stories of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Easy E, MC Ren and DJ Yella sound strikingly similar to that of The Game's. One look at the incredible NWA pendant and chain around The Game's neck will tell you that his inspiration is very obvious.
