Jazz
Joe van Enkhuizen After the adventures with my tenor-saxophone and the meetings with the inventors of my passion I've got the impulse to pick up my "button acco" and break through the vicious circle, to find a new way. Not to extend the old way but to start from the bottom again. This time without the borrowing rhythm, to develop an europeon jazz profile" and to add something to the language of the music. Dutch Tenor saxophonist Joe van Enkhulzen is known for his albums with Benny Green, Horace Parlan, John Clayton, Rufus Reid, Major Holley and others.
Bert van den Brink Bert first touched the organ when he was a young boy playing in the church, but quickly he established and personified a jazz vocabulary for the instrument. His playing is actual, unexpectedly fresh, original and spontaneous. On piano, the ballad-reading of "Minouet" is an almost astonishing contrast to the up-tempo pieces. Bert is known for his albums with Chet Baker, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Philip Catherine, Lee Kanitz, Toots Thielemans and others.
Pierre Courbois 'Pierre frequently made the drumkit sound as tuneful and harmonically rich as a keyboard-instrument. His precise but swinging beat is a joy to listen to. Here is a master in his own fields. Winner of prestigious prizes like the Bird Award. |
