2 DVD edition
In February, when the last show of the "20 Years of Electronic Avantgarde" tour of Deine Lakaien was over, 15,000 spectators throughout Germany had seen the band live at work during 7 gigs of (almost) 3 hours each. To celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary and the past tour, there will be a set of 3 different live releases: a double audio CD, a double DVD and a limited box holding a double audio CD and a 3DVD set. The double audio CD includes the whole concert with its 21 songs.
The 2DVD holds the concert in the Arena in Oberhausen filmed with twelve cameras. As bonus there will be a tour documentary of Marat Burnashev, a Wim Wenders student. Expect a 20 minute insight behind the scenes of this tour, the life in the tour bus, as well as the nervousness backstage during the soundcheck and so on. The 3rd DVD available in the limited edition super-deluxe set (next to the 2CD and the live 2DVD set) is a 185 minute compilation of videoclips ("Colour-Ize", "Dark Star", "Mindmachine", "Away", "Return", "Into My Arms", "Into My Arms" [remix version], "Generators", "Over And Done"), live concert clips (Live Acoustic Tour 1992, Forest Enter Exit Tour 1993, Winter Fish Testosterone Tour 1996, Dark Star Tour, Live Debut 1991), a picture gallery and finally the director's cut of the tour documentary.
Deine Lakaien
Active Decades: '80s, '90s and '00s Born: 1985 Genre: Elec Styles: Avant-Garde, Dark Ambient, Experimental Ambient
Alexander Veljanov and Ernst Horn formed the avant-garde electronic and atmospheric darkwave ensemble Deine Lakaien in 1985. Horn, an orchestra conductor, and Veljanov, a scholar of theater history, have released numerous collections of their signature experimental renderings of their myriad collective influences (opera, pop, punk, medieval, new wave, folk music) and achieved a well-earned spot in Europe's avant pop hierarchy. Their latest project finds the duo embarking on an orchestral tour with the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt symphony orchestra. ---James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide |
