The Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (CCJA) presents 17 soulful young musicians bringing to life 14 channels of pure creativity: the expression of youthful artistry at the highest level. These musicians, ranging in age from 16 to 24, converged at CCJA's newest program last summer; a recording and music industry camp, and this CD is the result. The 14 original tunes take the listener on sonic journeys through the minds of young composers reflecting on both their inner life and the world around them. Their passion for the music is evident in every note; anyone concerned about the future of jazz needs to look no further than what is happening right here. |
