"Phrasing with the sensitivity of a horn player, her intonation flawless." -- Leonard Feather, Los Angeles Times
* Former Ikette Cheryl Conley's debut on the TCB label! * Cheryl Conley remembers hearing the sweet sounds of Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, and Etta James as a child. After a stint with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue during her senior year in high school, Conley hit the ground running, first recording I Found Someone of My Own with Columbia Records pop group The Free Movement in the '70s and later featured as lead vocalist with the Cal State University Los Angeles Jazz Band opening the historical Playboy Jazz Festival in 1982. * More recently, Conley was a standing performer at Palermo Restaurant in Hollywood, Catalina's Bar and Grill, The Hip Kitty, and Nick & Stef's in Los Angeles.
