Volbeat comes from Copenhagen, Denmark and was formed in October 2001 by Michael Poulsen. Their musical style can be described as a combination of Hard Hitting Metallic Rock n roll with a touch of the sixties melodic tunes and Elvis.
Their debut album THE STRENGTH/THE SOUND/THE SONGS, released in October 2005. The CD is produced by Jacob Hansen (INVOCATOR, RAUNCHY) and contains 15 raw and razor-sharp jewels. Their sound is fresh, powerful and intense and their vocalist is simply magic.
LIVE SOLD OUT! 2007 recently turned Platinum in Volbeat s home country of Denmark and all over Europe. From small clubs to the big festivals to headlining the bigger venues, this double DVD shows the progress of the band in 2007 as 7 shows/festivals were filmed by award winning company Roax Films.
