Buchformat 2 CD + 20 page booklet
Benny Goodman's claim to being the founding father of the swing era - the true 'King of Swing' - is based on the fact that he helped this form of jazz become a new music style withe a revolutionary aspect, similar to the rock 'n' roll of the 1950s. The adolescents listening to this music developed their own fashions, dances, jargon and mannerisms, separating them from their conservative parents who rejected this new music as being too loud, vulgar and not 'danceable'. |
