Buchformat 2 CD + 20 page booklet

The most elegant piano player of the swing era was possibly Teddy Wilson. But why did he become eben more popular than Earl Hines, Fast Waller, Art Tatum and Errol Garner? All were incredibly gifted, that goes without saying. The answer might be, that the others used to be out in their own somewhere or a little before their time. Perhaps Wilson‘s character comes down to his success - he could accomodate people, fitting in sympathetically with the musical requirements as the occasion demanded, elegantly, with enthusiasm and above all - with a superb sense of swing.
