This CD contains fourteen of the twenty seven titles that the band recorded on two dates at the Bull's Head in Barnes, West London, in September 1988 and 1989 at Bob Erdos' invitation and it is a reminder of everything that we have been missing since the Delta Jazzmen ceased to function as a unit in the late sixties and Mike Daniels went in to retirement in Spain ten years later. This CD will be welcomed by not only the band's admirers in Great Britain, but also by those all over the world who have been asking about recordings by the Delta Jazzmen since the publication of their bio-discography in 1982. |
