In a little over one year since its debut in early 1997 the Brian White tribute to the great trombone maestro, Kid Ory, has quickly established itself as a major 'must hear' attraction at concerts, clubs and festivals across the country. In many instances the band has been immediately rebooked. In fact, the only quibble raised by the band's growing number of supporters at 'live' performances has been the lack of any CD as a souvenir of the Kid Ory tribute. This collection is by way of a response to such requests,although the straight-ahead 'hot' jazz content should appeal to any jazz lover. |
