This recording presents all original material arranged in exciting different textural configurations of instrumentation - from a bebop quartet to an eight piece ensemble. Particularly striking is the two saxophones / two trombone horn section with cello. Performer, arranger, composer and educator Gibson has worked throughout North America, playing in genres ranging from salsa, cumbia, rock and blues to R&B, and jazz. Gibson has toured as a member of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and performed with, Pat Bianchi, Greg Gisbert, Edgar Winter, Diane Reeves, the Pony Boy All-Star Big Band, Orcestra De Nueva Era and more. |
