Jo Stafford's pitch is so good that it might as well be perfect. Her ability to put a song across with honesty and warmth made her the favourite singer of American soldiers in World War II. They called her "G.I. Jo". She was one of the best pop singers of her generation. This 99 track 4 CD set is the ultimate celebration of her career between 1940 and 1950. The 40 page booklet tells her story, contains discographical info and contains many rare pictures.
