Topping the U.K. charts in the 1970s with their idiosyncratic versions of classic early rock songs, Darts ruled the clubs with their live act. This performance was held in the early 1980s, with the band playing their biggest hits, among which numbered infectious versions of Little Richard's 'The Girl Can't Help It' and Gene Vincent's 'Get It'.
The first ever DVD to feature perhaps Britain's best known doo-wop vocal group, Darts. Bursting upon London's clubs in the late 1970's, Darts proved a very popular live act with unique versions of classic early US rock n roll and RnB songs. The band were eventually signed to Magnet Records, where their debut single "Daddy Cool / The Girl Can't Help It" stormed into the UK top ten. The band went on to become extremely successful with their next three singles all going to number two in UK chart. In less than three years they scored seven top twenty singles and three top twenty albums, becoming one of the UK's most loved acts. "Daddy Cool" features the band doing what they did best, performing live before an adoring crowd during a UK tour from the early 1980's. Amongst the tracks featured are UK top ten hits "Daddy Cool / The Girl Can't Help It", "Boy From New York City" and "Get It". *Please note you will need an All Code DVD player to view.
Radio London superstars The Darts live up to their reputation as one of the best live U.K. acts of the late 1970s & early 1980s by taking the stage to offer twenty-one of their best-loved hits in an unforgettable 1984 performance captured live at London's legendary Marquee Club.
